Blog Post of the Day:
What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

This Glorious 5 day weekend I am going to do absolutely nothing except for partake in the time tested tradition of eating my own body weight in turkey and stuffing or until I pass out from the sheer bliss of eating turkey while being away from school for 5 days.

Reflecting on the comments and grade of your stop-motion animation... what you would do differently if you had to do it all over again? Would you manage your time better? Find better lighting for your photos? Come up with a better idea? Explain what you would change about your video.

In my reflection of my stop motion animation movie project I felt as if I did a swell job, although there are a few thing that, looking back, I wish I could have changed. First of all I would have picked up the pace of my video and made it shorter because--out of the feedback that I recieved--that was the number one complaint that most people had on my video. Also, I would have took more time and held the camera in a more constant position, whilst also focusing better on every picture.

Tell me about your weekend.

This weekend I spent most of my time keeping a watchful eye of my younger siblings while my parents were not home. I hung out with my friends and the Blue Valley football team lost so now they are out of the playoffs and done for the season.

Tell me about your experience with taking your stop-motion photos. What problems did you run in to? What did you find difficult about the process? What would you go back and change about HOW you took the photos? Explain yourself.

My personal experience of taking my stop motion animation photos was very invigorating to say the least. I didn't run into many problems, but what I found most difficult was getting the lighting just right for my photos. There is nothing I would change, as of now, with my photos because I worked rigorously hard, and kept an excruciatingly, diligent mindset whilst working on this project.

My ideas for a stop motion animation video are very innovative and creative. However, I have yet to choose a concrete idea. My heart is torn between a multitude of different possibilities for this project. First I was thinking that I could use some of the legos at my house to create a story of legos moving/building on their own. Although, some other ideas come to mind like scenes that involve people doing impossible things like jumping excessively high or far. These are only a couple of my unprecidented ideas on the stop-motion animation project.

What is stop motion animation? If you don't know, look it up! Explain.

Stop Motion Animation is an animation technique that uses material like clay or even legos to create a moving scene with inanimate objects. This is possible by taking a picture of an object in one position an slightly adjusting it in following pictures until you can put them all together in one scene.

Tell me about your idea for your 5 frame story board. What is the plot? How do you plan to make the story creative? Who's the main character? What is the beginning, middle and end? Tell me about your plan of attack.

My five frame story is the journey of my studious school day. This story follows my well rounded agenda that takes place during an average school day. My story will show my hardworking self face the challenges of Blue Valley High School's senior class. The Beginning shows my arrival to school and progresses through my school day from team sports, to math class and eventually even field biology.

Yesterday you edited and uploaded photos to your blog. Tell me more about your photos. HOW did you edit them? Why did you choose the photos that you did? Explain your assignment.

My photos where taken with my phone, most of which at the school. However, there were a few taken at my house, for example the one taken of my little brother Nick. The way chose these photos was fairly random, although they were most likely the best ones that I edited on photoshop. The five pictures I chose were a close up of a friends blue shirt, a medium shot of something significant--my little brother, a close up of my eye, a medium shot of someone seated--Nick Allen, and a long shot of someone waving--Mrs. Scheuereman. This is a wide variety of the types of photos that we were assigned to take.

Blog Post:
This weekend was a fairly eventful weekend, I was admitted to Kansas State University for the Fall 2015 academic semester. On a more important note I played soccer at Stanley Elementary with my boys, some of which are the 2014 XC Kansas 6A State Champions. In this intense game of hard fought will and determination my squad proved victorious due to my lock down defense--I was a metaphorical Rock in goal--and the astounding offence provided by the rest of dem'boys. Shortly thereafter we celebrated with a much need Quick Trip run, during which I through out all regards of decency and purchased not one but TWO toquitos. That sums up my fantastic, yet slightly sophomoric, weekend.

Tell me about your weekend. Share pics!
My weekend was swell, probably the swellest it has been in a long time. My baseball tournament was canceled due to poor field conditions which did have me feeling glum. However, I made fantastic use of that time off because I slept for what felt like a blissful eternity...so like 24 hours in two days. This was so nifty that I didn't get my homework done until 2 in the morning on Sunday night, although, the essay I created during this wonderful weekend was probably among the best I have ever written, it was so good that I would, in fact, even dare to say that it is golden.

This Gold represents my essay

Below is a letter written to the editor who wrote the article 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect' that your blogged about last week. Most of you wrote on your blog that you agreed with the writer. What are your thoughts after reading the letter below and seeing a different perspective. Are they the same? Are the different? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

My thoughts are still the same as before. I agree with the first article, however I do appreciate an opinion from someone from a different perspective.

My idea of a perfect curriculum would be one that could prepare we for my life after school, and only that, nothing extra like math or science. My perfect set of classes would be some of which I am already taking like the new International Relations class because that is one of the fields I am looking into for a future career in. I also think some foreign culture and history courses should be added as well. For example a class all about Japanese culture, or about a specific cultures food and the reasons for it being part of that culture. These are my ideas of ideal classes that would be on my ideal curriculum.

The following article was in the September issue of The Tiger Print. Read the article (even if you already have) and respond to it below. What do you think? Do you agree? Disagree? Consider all perspectives of the article while you respond.

This article may be of consern to many students and administrators  in this school, but I for one don't really care for the dress code. I believe students should be able to wear what they want, where they want because like the article said, we are supposedly being treated as adults. If this is true the teachers and administrators wouldn't tell us what we can and can't do, as long as it isn't harming anyone else.

Tell me about your weekend! If you don't have anything fun to share, tell me about the city you live in. What do you love about Kansas City? Do you have a favorite place in the city? Favorite team? :) Favorite event? Explain.

My weekend was super swell! It consisted of hours of driving between my house and Pittsburgh State University for a baseball tournament, which my team lost all of our games, which made all the driving that much more fun!:) Between my shenanigans at Pitt State I witnessed the Royal sweep the Angel, the best team in the regular season, in the ALDS. The Royals won this series in a dramatic fasion winning the first two games in extra innings, and then the third was a dominate 8-3 win with James Shields on the mound. To be honest the Royal's wins made my weekend and I also did take my time at Pitt State to see the campus despite my teams poor performance. All in all I did had a pretty good weekend.

What is an infographic? If you don't know, go look it up. Read about it and then in your own words tell me what an infographic is. What do infographics do? How do they work? What makes a really good infographic?

Infographic-a visual image such as a chart or diagram used to represent information or data.
An infographic can be used to represent things such as the number of people that attended a sporting event, However it is represented through some sort of visual aid.

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend! If you didn't participate in the Homecoming festivities, what did you do? Share pics!
This weekend I had a baseball tournament, which consisted of four games on Saturday and two on Sunday. I was unable to attend the homecoming dance because I was at Kansas City Community College at 9 pm for one of my games on Saturday. In this tournament my team went 4 and 2 and we took 3rd place.

Imagine Mr. Bacon has asked you to suggest one way of improving Blue Valley High School to make it a better place for students. Think about the changes that are needed at your school. Pick one change you feel would really make a difference and explain what it is and why you'd make the change.

Blue Valley High School is a great school that doesn't have much that needs to be changed. However there are a few things that could be improved upon. For example our lunches could be longer so we get more time to eat, and teachers should give us less homework with more time to complete it so we can get help with what we need help with and we are not crunched for time.

What are your favorite apps on your phone or tablet? Why?\

My favorite applications on my phone and/or tablet are Google search, because you can search for things and find answers to questions that you have, Snapchat because you can chat up your homies through pictures that you have snapped, and last but not least google maps because I am horrible with directions and i use it a lot to get where I need to go.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"?

Email is a way to send messages to people in a more professional way than for example twitter or even text messaging. In my personal life I use email to communicate with my teachers, my coaches, and people I work with because it is more formal than other means of communication. Proper email etiquette is important in order to portray yourself in a professional manner. Some ways you can show this proper etiquette is to use the correct greetings and salutations depending on whom you are communication with, and the topic on which you are discussing.

Now that you've been in Emerging Technology for several weeks... what do you think? Do you think the web tools (Drive, Evernote, Bubbl, etc.) are helpful to you? Do you think they will be helpful throughout high school or even college? Explain.

Yes, I think the majority of the web tools that we have used so far have been very helpful with not only this class, but I have also made use of them in a few other classes as well. I believe that I will continue to use some of these web tools throughout high school and perhaps even into college. These tools will continue to be helpful even after I am out of this class.
